A little about us

What began as a home roasting obssession, quickly grew into a small-batch coffee brand. Waiola Coffee Company focuses on quality, freshness and community. We are shaped by the very communities

Every bag we roast starts with a choice, not just what coffee, but who we trust to bring it to us. We work with a trusted importer who's deeply committed to microlots, sustainability, and ethical treatment of farmers. What lands in your cup is coffee we can stand behind, start to finish.

One of our biggest goals is to create a space where coffee brings people together; a place to gather, slow down, and share something in common. That vision is shaped by the communities our family has been part of over the years. Every roast we bring to market carries a little of that history: the people, the places, the conversations over a shared cup. Coffee has always been about connection for us, and building that space for others is what we're working toward.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work directly with farmers?

We source through a trusted importer chosen specifically for their focus on microlots, sustainability, and fair treatment of farmers.

Do you sell whole bean or ground?

Whole bean only. We find it keeps the coffee fresher and lets you grind to whatever your brew method needs.

Do you have a physical shop, or online only?

Online only for now. Although a physical space where our community can gather is very much part of where we're headed.

What's the typical shelf life of your coffee?

Every bag is stamped with its roast date, right on the label — no guessing games. We roast in small batches to keep things fresh, and we recommend enjoying your coffee within 6 months of that date for the best flavor.

How long does coffee stay fresh after opening?

Once you crack open a bag, we recommend brewing through it within a week for the best flavor and body. Coffee is at its most alive right after opening — so don't let it sit too long before you dive in.
