La Valiente began with a simple belief: sauces are the soul of Mexican cuisine. I’m Hera, co-founder, and I created La Valiente to share the depth and variety of regional Mexican flavor—one sauce at a time.

We craft our small-batch sauces in the Bronx using whole Mexican chiles—never powders—and all-natural ingredients, with nothing artificial and no gums or thickeners. Our first sauce, Smoky Árbol, brings together the bright heat of chile de árbol, the smoky depth of chipotle meco, and the body of guajillo. It’s vegan, with layered flavor and balanced, medium heat that makes you want another bite.

For me, food is a way to share knowledge, spark curiosity, and connect with people. I want La Valiente to help you discover Mexican flavors and make them part of your everyday cooking, whether you’re dressing up breakfast eggs or adding a finishing touch to dinner.
